The first gnome that you will likely come across is the Mysterious Mr. Gnome. This gnome is perhaps the easiest to find.

Mysterious Mr. Gnome can be found by:

• Sending ore or gems off to be smelted or cut could be a gnome instead
• Exploring the Catacombs in the graveyard
• Through transfiguration
• Mining
• As a reward from being promoted in the Criminal Career or Investigator Profession      
• Using the “buydebug” cheat

Master Manchu the Magical Gnome of China

When visiting Shang Simla in China through The Sims 3: World Adventures expansion pack, you can acquire one of the special Sims 3 gnomes. This gnome poses with martial arts moves.

Master Manchu the Magical Gnome of China can be found by:

• Sending ore or gems off to be smelted or cut could be this gnome instead. Must use the basecamp mailbox while there!
• Randomly found sometimes when fishing in Shang Simla
• Exploring the Catacombs at the Chinese Mausoleum
• Picked up while visiting the museum in Champs Les Sims
• Using the “buydebug” cheat

Sultan Sam the Magical Gnome of Egypt

When visiting Al Simhara in Egypt through The Sims 3: World Adventures expansion pack, you can acquire one of the special Sims 3 gnomes. This gnome has special poses based on what you would see on an Egyptian wall. 

Sultan Sam the Magical Gnome of Egypt can be found by:

• Sending ore or gems off to be smelted or cut could be this gnome instead. Must use the basecamp mailbox while there!
• Randomly found sometimes when fishing in Al Simhara
• Exploring the Catacombs at the Egyptian Mausoleum
• Picked up while visiting the museum in Champs Les Sims
• Using the “buydebug” cheat 

Little Leon the Magical Gnome of France

When visiting Champs Les Sims in France through The Sims 3: World Adventures expansion pack, you can acquire one of the special Sims 3 gnomes. This gnome does poses that Napoleon would do.

• Sending ore or gems off to be smelted or cut could be this gnome instead. Must use the basecamp mailbox while there!
• Randomly found sometimes when fishing in Champs Les Sims
• Exploring the Catacombs at the French Mausoleum
• Picked up while visiting the museum in Champs Les Sims

The Magical Gnome of Invention

When you have The Sims 3: Ambitions expansion pack installed, you can find this special Mysterious Mr. Gnome when “inventing” with the “Scraptastic Workbench.” This invention only happens on accident. This gnome often poses like a robot.

The Magical Gnome of Invention can be found by:

• Accidently when “inventing” with the Scraptastic Workbench
• Randomly found sometimes when mining
• Using the “buydebug” cheat 

The Magical Gnome of Sculpting

When you have The Sims 3: Ambitions expansion pack installed, you can find this special Mysterious Mr. Gnome when “sculpting” with the “Pedestrian Sculpting Station.” This only happens on accident. This gnome often poses like a famous sculpture, such as “The Thinker.” The look of this gnome depends on what type of material the Sim was sculpting with.

The Magical Gnome of Invention can be found by:

• Accidently when “sculpting” with the Pedestrian Sculpting Station
• Randomly found sometimes when mining
• Using the “buydebug” cheat

Abracadabra the Magical Gnome of Laundry

When you have The Sims 3: Ambitions expansion pack installed, you can sometimes find this special Mysterious Mr. Gnome when doing laundry.

Abracadabra the Magical Gnome of Laundry can be found by:

• Randomly when using the most expensive dryer
• Randomly when collecting your Sim’s laundry
• Using the “buydebug” cheat

Troglodyte the Magical Gnome of B.C.

When you have The Sims 3: Ambitions expansion pack installed, you can sometimes find this special Mysterious Mr. Gnome.

Troglodyte the Magical Gnome of B.C. can be found by:

• Randomly when using the Sims 3 time machine
• Using the “buydebug” cheat

Blingaboo the Magical Hip-Hop Gnome

When you have The Sims 3: Late Night expansion pack installed, you can sometimes acquire this special gnome.

Blingaboo the Magical Hip-Hop Gnome can be found by:

• Randomly sent to your Sim as a gift for being a Sims 3 celebrity
• Using the “buydebug” cheat

Magical Vampire Gnome

When you have The Sims 3: Late Night expansion pack installed, you can sometimes acquire this special gnome that poses like the Sims 3 vampires. Having the gardening skill helps to get this magical gnome because you will need to garden the plasma fruit in order for one to magically appear.

Magical Vampire Gnome can be found by:

• Randomly shows up on lots that are growing multiple Sims 3 Plasma Fruit plants(Gardening skill 7)
• Using the “buydebug” cheat

Lounge Lizard the Magic Gnome

When you have The Sims 3 : Showtime expansion pack installed, you can sometimes see this special gnome if you're a Singer.

Lounge Lizard the Magic Gnome can be found by:

• It will show up if you have a level 7 Singing career on the lot.
• If there is a Peanut Butter and Banana sandwich leftover .
• Using the  “buydebug ” cheat.

Cranstan Boonitz the Magic Gnome

When you have The Sims 3 : Showtime expansion pack installed, you can sometimes see this special gnome if you're a Magician.

Crastan Boonitz the Magic Gnome can be found by:

• It will show up if you have a level 7 Magician career.
• Using the  “buydebug ” cheat.
